So what is New Make anyway?

Every whiskey begins its journey as New Make - a clear alcoholic drink based on grains. A bit similar to vodka but with more taste and smell. Very different from what we all imagine when we think of whiskey.
This particular New Make is from the Yerushalmi distillery.
Yerushalmi is a subsidiary distillery of Golani Distillery, whose specialty is the production of smoked whiskey.
We chose the smoked distillate at 35 PPM.
The term PPM in the whiskey world describes the amount of smoke particles found in the distillate
